Melanie Christine Goebel

Melanie Christine Goebel is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in Infectious Diseases. She serves as the Associate Clinical Director of the Houston AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) and Associate Program Director for the BCM Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.

Her research focuses on HIV care, antibiotic stewardship, and medical education, with particular emphasis on improving quality of care for underserved populations. She leads initiatives like the BE FASTER program, which promotes rapid initiation of antiretroviral therapy through virtual communities of practice.
