Meggie Crnic, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Associate Director of the Edward D. Viner Center for Humanism Education and Training at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU). She holds a PhD in History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the intersection of place, human health, and well-being, with a forthcoming book on America’s seashores as health resorts and an interdisciplinary project on hospital design ethics. She teaches bioethics, history of medicine, and racism in medicine courses.

Her research explores how environments shape health and well-being, including studies on medical humanities curriculum impacts, student professional development, and clerkship year educational practices. She co-leads projects examining ethics of hospital design and serves on CMSRU committees addressing racism in medicine and institutional climate health.

Meggie mentors Capstone projects and collaborates across disciplines to advance medical education. She actively contributes to initiatives promoting equity in healthcare and humanistic practices in medicine.
