Megan Willson, PharmD, is Professor of Pharmacotherapy and Associate Dean for Professional Education at Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She teaches, practices clinically, and leads research initiatives focused on improving patient safety and medication outcomes.

Research Interests
Dr. Willson’s scholarship centers on patient safety, medication regimen complexity, and health literacy. Her current projects evaluate tools to reduce adverse drug events and employ motivational interviewing to enhance patient adherence and therapeutic outcomes. She collaborates extensively with the Human Patient Simulation Team to integrate advanced simulation methods into pharmacy education.
Teaching & Clinical Practice
She directs the first-year professional communications laboratory course, delivers cardiovascular pharmacotherapy lectures to third-year students, and precepts fourth-year clerkships in acute-care internal medicine. Clinically, she rounds with the internal-medicine residency team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, providing direct patient care and inter-professional education to medical residents and students.
Labs & Teams
Dr. Willson is a core member of the Human Patient Simulation Team, leveraging high-fidelity simulation to advance experiential learning and assess clinical decision-making in pharmacy and medical trainees.
