Megan S. Allen

Megan S. Allen, OD, FAAO is an Assistant Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO), where she has served as part-time faculty since 2009. She also works in part-time private practice at The Eye Specialist Center in Chicago Ridge, IL, since 2009, combining clinical expertise with teaching. Allen previously held a full-time instructor role at ICO (2008) and completed her residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at ICO in 2008.

Her work includes concussion assessment using visual screening tools, myopia control therapies, and community-based pediatric eye care initiatives. Publications highlight her contributions to sports-related concussion research, clinical case studies in neuro-ophthalmology, and pediatric eye disease collaborations.
