Alaina Bandstra

Alaina Bandstra is Assistant Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry, specializing in pediatric and binocular vision care. She completed her residency in Pediatric Optometry at ICO following her OD degree.

Her clinical practice and research focus on vision therapy interventions, myopia progression management, and pediatric eye care accessibility. She maintains active clinical practice alongside academic responsibilities.

Honors include recognition for clinical excellence and leadership in optometric education through professional organizations like the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
