Megan G. Thompson serves as a Pro Tem Instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law, teaching Federal Jurisdiction, Civil Procedure, Advanced Appellate Advocacy, Women and the Law, and Children and the Law. With over ten years of experience as a career law clerk and staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit—including service as career law clerk to Judge Alfred T. Goodwin—she integrates substantial judicial expertise into her pedagogy.
Her academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law (Order of Coif) and a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College. Prior to law school, she worked in domestic and sexual violence prevention and survivor advocacy, directly informing her specialized teaching in gender and children's legal frameworks.
