Megan Bell

Megan Bell, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Crookston, affiliated with the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Department. She has been with the institution since August 2004 and is involved in both on-campus and online academic programs. Her roles include contributing to majors such as Agricultural Communication, Communication, Graphic Design, English Education, Sport Media and Communication, and Writing.

Dr. Bell holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Public Discourse from the University of North Dakota. She has received notable awards, including the 2024 Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2025 Award for Excellence in Academic Unit Service. She has been actively involved in launching the Sport Media and Communication bachelor’s degree program and participated in a Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) cohort to enhance student learning outcomes.

Her research and teaching focus on communication strategies in public discourse, educational methodologies, and interdisciplinary approaches to media studies.
