Meerna E. Ammari

Meerna E. Ammari is an Instructor of Computer Information Systems (CIS) at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) since Spring 2019. She previously held roles as Visiting Instructor and Adjunct Professor of CIS at UIW. Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Al Balqa Applied University.

Her research interests focus on cybersecurity domains such as Cloud Computing Security, Network Security, 5G Wireless Security, and IoT Security. Mrs. Ammari has over a decade of industry experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, and Technical Support Engineer, including roles at The Minesen Company, Estarta Solutions (Cisco TAC), and Accurate Technologies.

She currently serves as the faculty advisor for the UIW Women in Cyber Security (UIW-WiCyS) Student Chapter and teaches courses like CIS 1100, CIS 1301, CIS 2340, and specialized security modules such as CIS 3353 Computer Systems Security.
