Diana L. Allison is Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of Interior Design at the University of the Incarnate Word. An NCIDQ-certified practitioner with 25 years of industry experience, her research explores environment-behavior interactions with focus on place attachment, aging in place, and educational engagement strategies. She leads the Interior Design program's CIDA accreditation efforts.

- Strengths-based pedagogical approaches
- Sustainable design for community wellbeing
- Sacred space phenomenology
Awarded the Mission Continues Innovation Award (2023) and Provost Legacy Teaching Award (2017), she teaches courses spanning color theory, space planning, and professional practice. Publications include the industry-standard 'Estimating and Costing for Interior Designers' and qualitative studies on environmental meaning in religious and agricultural settings.
