Michael Clayton is Professor and Program Chair of Graphic Design at the University of the Incarnate Word's School of Business. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Utah State University and teaches courses including Foundation Design, Interactive Design, User Interface Design, and Motion Graphics. His research explores interface design for video games, interactive prototyping methodologies, and sketchnoting applications in education.
Clayton has presented at international conferences including the UCDA Education Summit, TechEd California, AIGA San Antonio, and sketchnote camps in Hamburg and Lisbon. He co-authored three editions of 'Visual Design Fundamentals: A Digital Approach' and contributed to five additional books. His pedagogical approach emphasizes bridging design theory with practical applications through real-world projects.
