Md Azher Uddin is an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University's School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences. His email is M.Uddin@hw.ac.uk. He holds a Gold Medal Award for academic excellence from his undergraduate studies (2012) and has received scholarships from Kyung Hee University (2015) and the Woojung Education and Culture Foundation (2016).
His research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning, with applications in agriculture, healthcare, and human-computer interaction. Notable contributions include paddy disease recognition, automated depression severity estimation, and sign language recognition systems.
