Maya Bacache-Beauvallet is a Professor of Economics at Télécom Paris and a member of the board of ARCEP (French Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts). She holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Paris-1 Sorbonne and was previously a research professor at the École Normale Supérieure (ULM). Her research focuses on public employment management, digital economy transformations, and regulation of innovation in cultural industries. She co-heads the Public Economy research area at Cepremap and directs the PSE Labor Chair. Her work bridges academia and policy, addressing issues like tax competition in digital markets and the impact of digital technologies on creative sectors.
Publications span topics such as music industry dynamics, broadband investment, and public sector employment policies. She actively contributes to regulatory debates through roles at ARCEP and the High Council of Public Finance. Her interdisciplinary approach is reflected in affiliations like the Interdisciplinary Institute of Innovation (i3) and collaborations with institutions like the OECD.
