Max Artved is an internationally acclaimed oboe and woodwind professor at the Danish Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (DKDM) since 2009, with additional affiliations at Malmö Academy of Music. Educated at the Danish Academy of Music under Jørgen Hammergaard, he further studied in London with Gordon Hunt and in Paris with Maurice Bourgue. His 1990 debut concert received critical acclaim, and he is praised for combining musical inspiration with instrumental craftsmanship by Henrik Wiese (Principal flutist, The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra).
Research and Artistic Practice: Artved is renowned as a soloist and chamber musician, performing with orchestras like the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra (DRSO), Royal Danish Orchestra, and Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire includes works by R. Strauss, W.A. Mozart, and Scandinavian composers such as Carl Nielsen and Vagn Holmboe. He co-founded the DRSO Wind Quintet and served as artistic leader of Diamant-Ensemblet (2004–2018), collaborating with artists like Leif Ove Andsnes and Nikolaj Znaider.

Advising and International Activity: His students hold principal positions in Danish and Swedish orchestras. He leads a Scandinavian woodwind tradition collaboration between DKDM, Norwegian Academy of Music, and Kungliga Musikhögskolan.
