Maureen Aceves

Maureen Aceves is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering department. Her research focuses on the mechanical and microstructural behavior of nickel superalloys under extreme conditions, including high strain rates and elevated temperatures with rapid heating.

• PhD in titanium alloys under cryogenic cooling
• MSc in Aerospace Materials, Sheffield University
• Former materials specialist at Zodiac Aerospace/Weber Aircraft

Dr Aceves utilizes advanced techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD), and data analysis in MATLAB. She is currently completing a Black Belt Six Sigma certificate.
