Matthieu Crozet is a Full Professor of Economics at Université Paris-Saclay, affiliated with the Faculté Jean Monnet. He serves as Head of the M2 Economics program and President of the Section d'économie. His research focuses on International Trade, Economic Geography, and Globalization, with notable work on sanctions, trade policies, and firm behavior. He has held academic leaves at Lingnan University (Hong Kong, 2017–present) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2016–2017).
His research interests include the impact of sanctions on trade, servitization of manufacturing firms, and the role of regulations in services trade. He has published in top journals like the Journal of International Economics, Review of Economic Studies, and Canadian Journal of Economics, earning the Harry Johnson Prize in 2010 for his work on structural gravity equations.
