Dr. Wei-Ping Wu is an Associate Professor in Management at Anglia Ruskin University, UK, with expertise in business and management research. He has held full-time academic roles at several institutions, including University of International Business & Economics (China), Sheffield Hallam University (UK), University of Hull (UK), Lingnan University (Hong Kong), and Hong Kong Baptist University (Hong Kong). He also served in part-time/visiting roles at Ulster University (UK) and University of Nottingham, Ningbo Campus (China).
His research interests span International Business, Marketing (consumer and industrial), Organizational Behavior (leader-member exchange, industrial relations climate), Strategic Management (dynamic capabilities, business networks), and Cross-Cultural Management. His work has been published in top-tier journals like Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, and Asia Pacific Journal of Management.
Dr. Wu's publications highlight trends in social capital, knowledge transfer, firm performance, interfirm trust, and employee work outcomes. His studies often examine these topics in Chinese high-tech firms, emerging markets, and international joint ventures.
He previously directed the Institute of Pacific Asia Studies at the University of Hull, coordinated the Curtin-Lingnan DBA program, and led DBA programs at Hong Kong Baptist University. His qualifications include a BA and MA in International Trade from University of International Business & Economics (China) and a PhD in Business and Management from Ulster University (UK).
