Professor Matthew Stubbs is a faculty member at the Adelaide Law School, University of Adelaide, serving as Associate Dean (Research) and Editor-in-Chief of the Adelaide Law Review. He holds a Professorship in Law with expertise in international law, space law, human rights law, and constitutional law. His work emphasizes Indigenous law students' support, earning multiple teaching awards at national, university, and faculty levels (2008–2020).
Research interests include the intersection of space law and human rights, contributing as a Core Expert to the Woomera Manual on the International Law of Military Space Operations. Professional roles include Chair of the Space Law and Human Rights Committees at the Law Society of South Australia, and membership in the Law Council of Australia's National Human Rights Committee.
Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students in legal research areas. His contributions extend to academic leadership and fostering inclusive legal education.
