Matthew Roman is an Assistant Professor, Part-Time Teaching Stream in the Accounting Area at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He teaches personal and corporate income tax within the Rotman Commerce Program and is actively involved in professional accounting education.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Master of Taxation from the University of Waterloo. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and was awarded the CPA Canada Gold Medal for achieving the highest standing in the Common Final Examination (CFE) in Ontario.
His teaching and professional expertise centers on taxation, particularly corporate and personal income tax. He also contributes to the CPA Professional Education Program and the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, bridging academic instruction with practical tax knowledge.
