Matthew Fleet is a Senior Lecturer in Sport/PE Education at Solent University, specializing in physical education, curriculum development, and educational policy. His research focuses on teacher training, student engagement, and policy reform in physical education. He has authored a textbook for GCSE physical education and published articles on topics such as parental perceptions of secondary physical education and the use of movement-based interventions for child development. Fleet is actively involved in international teacher training, delivering invited talks in Southeast Asia and the Middle East on curriculum choice and pedagogical strategies. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the Education Sciences journal.
