Matthew Brunner is an Assistant Professor at Temple University within the Boyer College of Music and Dance, where he directs athletic bands and teaches conducting. He serves as Director of the Diamond Marching and Basketball Bands and conductor for the Symphonic and Collegiate Bands.

- Master of Music (MM) in Instrumental Conducting (minor in trumpet), Ohio University
- Bachelor of Music (BM) in Music Education, Ohio University
His research focuses on instrumental conducting, marching band arrangement, and music pedagogy. He has authored publications in the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series and the National Band Association Journal.

- National Band Association’s International Conducting Symposium Winner (2007)
Dr. Brunner is an active adjudicator and clinician nationally, with over 100 marching band arrangements credited to his name. He holds memberships in professional organizations including the College Band Directors National Association and Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.
