Matthew Bersi

Matthew Bersi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science at the McKelvey School of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis. He joined the faculty in 2020 and leads research in biomechanics, cardiovascular engineering, and women's health technologies. His lab focuses on the interplay between biomechanics and inflammation in soft tissues, with applications to hypertension, cardiac fibrosis, and vascular injury.
