Dr. Matthew Armstrong is an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Wayne State College. He leads the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Lyrica, and Fortis Choirs, and teaches conducting, choral literature, and Music Education. His career spans K-12 and higher education, including roles at Cedar Rapids public schools and Wartburg College. He holds a DMA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has conducted honor choirs at national conferences. Armstrong’s compositions are published by major music publishers and performed globally. He actively contributes to professional organizations like ACDA and NMEA through performances, clinics, and conferences.
