Jacob K. Bartlett

Dr. Jacob K. Bartlett is a Professor of Music at Peru State College's School of Arts and Sciences, where he has taught since 2012. He instructs courses in Applied Voice, Concert Choir, Women's Choir, History of Rock, Evolution of Hip Hop, and Method Courses. Dr. Bartlett coordinates the annual Contemporary Music Festival, engaging over 800 students from 30+ schools. Previously, he held positions at Gillette College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Northwest Missouri State University.

Research Interests: Dr. Bartlett's research centers on barbershop vocal production techniques in amateur singers. His work extends to choral pedagogy, historical analysis of rock and hip-hop music, and performance practices spanning Renaissance to contemporary repertoire. He actively presents findings at Barbershop Harmony Society conventions internationally.
