Matteo Gatti is a Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute. His work focuses on corporate law, financial regulation, and political economy, particularly corporate power dynamics, governance structures, and transnational legal frameworks. He holds a J.D. from the University of Milan, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, and a S.J.D. from the University of Brescia.
His research explores intersections between corporate governance and socioeconomic change, including EU sustainability directives, M&A regulatory frameworks, and AI's impact on corporate structures. He has published in leading journals like the Stanford Law Review and Columbia Law Review, with his work cited by the European Commission.
Prof. Gatti has held visiting positions at Goethe University Frankfurt and Harvard Law School, and contributes regularly to platforms like the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance. He lectures globally on corporate law and is admitted to the New York Bar.
