Matt Ordaz serves as an Adjunct Professor and Director of the Percussion Ensemble at Biola University's Conservatory of Music, with additional teaching roles at Concordia University and The Colburn School. He maintains an active private studio in Southern California.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Biola University, where he served as principal percussionist/drummer in orchestral and jazz ensembles and recorded the solo album Marimba Expressions, and a Master's Degree in Percussion Performance from Cal State Fullerton.
Ordaz's professional expertise spans Percussion Performance, Piano Performance, Composition, and Music Education across classical and commercial contexts. He has published three children's piano pieces through Willis/Hal Leonard and earned multiple awards in piano performance and composition. His performance career includes regular engagements at major venues such as The Disneyland Resort and The Ahmanson Theatre.
