Dr. Matt Mulvey is an Associate Professor of Applied Pain Research at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences and School of Medicine. His work focuses on improving cancer pain management through neurophysiological research and complex intervention development. He holds roles as Deputy Lead for Postgraduate Studies and Co-Lead for Statistics in the MSc Module on Health Sciences. His research interests include applied health methodology, complex intervention adaptation, and quantitative sensory testing in pain assessment.
Education: PhD in Neurophysiology (2010, Leeds Beckett University), followed by postdoctoral roles at the University of Manchester (2010-2012) and University of Leeds (2012-2017). Current position since 2017 as Yorkshire Cancer Research Fellow.
