Matt Lampitt is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics and the French Department. His work bridges medieval literature, multilingualism, and theoretical frameworks.
- Education: BA in French and German (University of Cambridge), MA in French Literature and Culture (King’s College London), PhD in French (King’s College London).
Research Interests include medieval French literature, comparative approaches to multilingual texts, feminist and queer theories, network theory applications to medieval studies, and ecomaterialist perspectives. His current project examines connectivity in medieval literature, focusing on the Isle of Avalon.
Recent Publications explore intersections of cannibalism and queerness in Arthurian legends, troubadour lyric in Kristevan theory, and networked histories of the Welsh Marches. These works reflect his interdisciplinary focus on literary, cultural, and philosophical contexts.
