Her research interrogates the intersections of form and translation in medieval multilingual environments, focusing on manuscript spatiality, affective consequences of literary structures, and cross-cultural transmission. Current projects include a monograph on Form in Translation (Boydell & Brewer, forthcoming 2026/27) analyzing Old French, Middle English, and Latin texts from 11th-15th centuries. She previously co-led the AHRC-funded Medieval Francophone Literature Outside France (2011-2015), resulting in the 2020 Oxford monograph.
Recent publications explore topics like Langtoft’s 'political songs', ars nova music’s classical reception, and manuscript materiality. Her teaching emphasizes comparative medieval-modern critical theory, classical translatio in medieval narratives, and cross-linguistic literary encounters.
Professional activities include AHRC event organization, external examiner roles at Reading, KCL, and Aberystwyth (2007-2015), and memberships in societies like the International Arthurian Society, New Chaucer Society, and Medieval Academy of America. She works with languages including Old French, Middle French, Middle English, and Latin.
