Dr. Gaëlle Burg is a Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FHNW), Basel, since September 2019, specializing in the didactics of French as a foreign language for upper secondary education.
- Education: University of Strasbourg, cotutelle doctorate at University of Basel and Paris-Est (2016–2020)
- Habilitation: University of Basel (venia docendi, 2020)
Research Interests focus on the contemporary reception of medieval literature, particularly Arthurian legends, chivalric romances, and their editing/reception in the Renaissance. She also explores French language didactics and literature teaching methodologies.
- Grants: SNSF Grant (2016), Basel Research Fund Extension (2018)
Academic Engagement includes organizing conferences such as L’érotique des troubadours et des trouvères (2024) and contributing to interdisciplinary projects like Grenzritte zwischen Vers und Prosa (2024).
