Matilde Nisbeth Brøgger is an Associate Professor in English Business Communication at the School of Communication and Culture, Aarhus University, Denmark. She is a leading researcher in health and digital communication, with a strong focus on patient-physician interaction, medical translation, and forensic communication. She serves as Research Program Director for Communication in International Business and the Professions and is the Center Director for the Center for Health Communication (CHEC). Additionally, she is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Qualitative Health Communication (QHC).
Her research interests span Health Communication, Digital Health, Translation Theory, Patient Behaviour, and Specialised Language Research. She investigates how language and genre shape communication in healthcare, especially in digital and forensic contexts. Her work emphasizes improving clarity and accessibility for lay audiences.
