Mathew Reichertz is Associate Professor and Division Chair of Fine Arts (Painting) at NSCAD University. His artistic practice investigates narrative relationships within contemporary painting traditions, supported by SSHRC-funded research through the NSCAD Drawing Lab.
Awarded the RBC Canadian Painting Competition (2005) and shortlisted for the Sobey Art Award (2006), his work appears in institutional collections including Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses focused on observational drawing and painting techniques.
