David Clark is a Professor in the Division of Media Arts, Expanded Media at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He holds an MFA in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1989) and a BFA from NSCAD University (1985). His creative practice spans media art, filmmaking, radio production, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Research focuses on hybrid digital-media practices, including experimental radio projects like Nothing to See Here, podcast collaborations, and installations exploring intersections of technology and art history. Recent work includes the Through the Wall audio project addressing pandemic experiences. His 88 Constellations for Wittgenstein (2002) is a landmark in electronic literature, archived by the British Library.

Clark has been funded through SSHRC grants for research on digital archives and anonymous histories. Collaborations span international sound artists and institutions like CBC Radio’s The Doc Project.
