Professor Mathew Guest is a leading academic in the Sociology of Religion at Durham University's Department of Theology and Religion, with a focus on religion in neoliberal contexts and worldview diversity in higher education. Since 2001, he has conducted extensive research on religious identity negotiation in universities, particularly within British Higher Education.
