Mateusz Grochowski is an Associate Professor of Law at Tulane University School of Law, affiliated with Yale Law School’s Information Society Project and Center for Private Law. His research focuses on comparative private law, digital technology’s impact on consumer protection, and algorithmic pricing. He previously held roles at the Max Planck Institute, NYU, and Tel Aviv University, and served on Poland’s Supreme Court Office of Studies and Analyses.
Education: Yale Law School (LLM, 2018), Polish Academy of Sciences (PhD, 2015), Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (MA, 2010).
Research interests include algorithmic price personalization, platform economy regulation, and digital vulnerability. His recent work addresses regulatory challenges posed by AI and online platforms. He edits the Rabel Journal and Journal of European Consumer and Market Law.
Major awards include the Fox International Fellowship (Yale) and Poland’s Zbigniew Radwański Award for Best PhD Dissertation (2017). He has advised on EU digital market policy and contributed to legal reforms in Poland and internationally.
