Massimo Morelli is Professor of Political Science and Economics at Bocconi University and Director of the Pericles unit. He is a Fellow of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory and the Econometric Society, and holds research affiliations with Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), Innocenzo Gasparini Institute (IGIER), and Baffi Carefin Center.
His research spans game theory, political economy, and institutional analysis. Core interests include bargaining theory, governance structures, and the economic analysis of conflict, with recent work focusing on populism dynamics and legislative complexity. Morelli maintains active collaborations across Europe and North America.
Awards and honors include the International Geneva Award (2015) for research on strategic mass killings. He chairs the Minorities in Economics committee and advocates for diversity in economic research.
