Maryanne Weatherill

Maryanne Weatherill is an Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Education at the University of West Georgia. With over 25 years of clinical experience, her work focuses on rehabilitation methodologies for communication disorders and dysphagia.

Education:

• B.A. in Communication Disorders, Eastern Washington University, 1990

Research examines patient motivation in adult rehabilitation, therapeutic interventions for neurologically-based communication disorders, and clinical education frameworks. Her studies emphasize practical applications in acute care and outpatient settings.

Awards include the 2018 Outstanding Ph.D. Student recognition from University of Georgia, six ASHA Continuing Education awards, and the 2014 Robert A. Hull Leadership Award from the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
