Dr. Maryann Street is an Honorary Research Fellow at Deakin University's School of Nursing & Midwifery, collaborating with Eastern Health. Her work focuses on improving healthcare quality and patient safety through evidence-based practices, particularly in transitions of care for vulnerable populations like older adults and patients in palliative care. She leads the Deakin University Centre for Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Research partnership with Eastern Health, addressing critical issues in nursing handover, emergency care protocols, and post-anaesthetic care.
