Mary T. Gover

Dr. Mary Gover is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Assistant Medical Director of the Comprehensive Health Care Center. A graduate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, she completed residency in Montefiore's Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Program where she served as chief resident. Her leadership roles have included Associate Program Director and HIV/Hepatitis C physician site champion.

Her clinical expertise encompasses primary/preventative care with specialization in HIV and Hepatitis C treatment. Research focuses on risk communication in healthcare and lifestyle medicine approaches, with credentialing as a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is pursuing health coach certification through WellCoaches to enhance collaborative patient partnerships.

Dr. Gover contributes to policy development through the Hastings Center Advisory Committee, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center Clinical Care Committee, and Radical Health initiative. She collaborates with the School of Visual Arts Design for Social Innovation Program to integrate design thinking into healthcare education.
