Dr. Jonathan Ross is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein. He specializes in primary care, HIV primary care, and medical cannabis. He holds a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University (2001), an M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College (2012), and an M.S. in Clinical Research Methods from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (2017). His residency and fellowship were completed at Montefiore Medical Center.
Research Focus: Dr. Ross investigates HIV treatment and prevention access, particularly in the U.S. and sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on migration's impact on HIV outcomes. He leads research projects on PrEP implementation, barriers to HIV care among migrants, and health disparities affecting immigrants and marginalized populations. His work has been published in Clinical Infectious Diseases, JAMA Internal Medicine, and the Journal of the International AIDS Society.
Grants & Projects: Principal investigator on multiple funded studies; leads the CICERO HIV primary care program at Montefiore's Wakefield Ambulatory Care Center. His research includes evaluating Treat All policies in Rwanda and PrEP engagement among homeless youth.
Affiliations: Member of the Society for General Internal Medicine and International Antiviral Society–USA. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and HIV Medicine (AAHIVM).
