Lauren T. Roth

Lauren T. Roth, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She specializes in pediatric primary care and medical education innovation, serving as the inaugural Director of Einstein’s 4-year longitudinal Service-Learning Course. Dr. Roth holds leadership roles in national committees for medical education and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and member of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA).

Her education includes a BS in Neuroscience from Emory University (2012), MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (2016), and pediatrics residency at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia (2019). She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies and awarded 'Super Senior' Resident of the Year (2019).

Research focuses on LGBTQ+ healthcare education, service-learning, and telemedicine. Key contributions include curricula for LGBTQ+ patient care and tools for telemedicine training. Awards include the AIMSE (2022), NBME Emerging Innovators Grant (2023), and the 2025 Rising Star – Clinical Practitioner Award.

She oversees multiple locations including Montefiore’s Comprehensive Family Care Center and participates in quality improvement projects. Dr. Roth is a leading voice in post-pandemic medical education restructuring and has been selected for the APA Educational Scholars Program.
