Mary Lacey is a Professor of English at Earlham College, affiliated with the Department of Creative Writing, Department of English, and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.A. from Earlham College. Her research focuses on 19th and 20th-century literature from England, the U.S., and Ireland, with emphasis on literary influences, religious belief in literature, and folklore integration into academic contexts. She has led Earlham’s London off-campus program.
