Justice Mary I. Yu serves as an active Justice on the Washington Supreme Court (appointed 2014, elected 2014/2016) and holds a dual appointment as Distinguished Jurist in Residence at Seattle University School of Law. Her judicial career spans over two decades, including 14 years presiding over criminal, civil, and family law cases in King County Superior Court.

Justice Yu's legal expertise centers on constitutional interpretation, criminal procedure, and family law adjudication.
