Jack F. Nevin serves as a Superior Court Judge in Tacoma, Washington, and holds current academic appointments as Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law, Emory University School of Law, and Catholic University of Lublin, Poland, alongside instructional roles with the National Center for State Courts and National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
His educational credentials include a BA from Washington State University, an MBA/JD from Gonzaga University, and advanced military education from the Air War College (1996) and Army War College (1998).
Specializing in Military Law and Criminal Law, Judge Nevin has developed expertise through international post-conflict work including UN judicial service in Kosovo, judicial training in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the former Soviet Union, victim-witness program development in El Salvador, and anti-corruption lectures across Africa and Argentina. His research integrates trial advocacy, evidence law, and humanitarian law within military justice frameworks.
His 2011 publications demonstrate concentrated scholarly focus on military justice reforms, constitutional challenges in forfeiture statutes, and jurisdictional intersections between international criminal courts and domestic military systems, reflecting his dual expertise in courtroom practice and military legal theory.
