Mary D. Willis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Boston University School of Public Health, with core faculty affiliation at the Institute for Global Sustainability. Her research integrates environmental epidemiology, spatial exposure assessment, and econometric-based causal inference to analyze energy sector and built environment impacts on reproductive health.

Recent work includes a 20-year Texas cohort study on traffic pollution disparities and a 2025 high-resolution Boston study on transportation emissions.
