Mary Ann Probst serves as an Associate Teaching Professor and Coordinator of the Criminal Justice Program at Pennsylvania State University. Her roles include academic advising, faculty advising for the Criminal Justice Organization, and membership in the Penn State Altoona Faculty Senate. She is also actively involved in the Blair County legal community, serving as Guardian Ad Litem and holding leadership positions in the Blair County Bar Association.
Her research interests focus on criminal law, constitutional law, criminal procedure, and courtroom dynamics. She has coached the Penn State Altoona Mock Trial teams and integrates practical legal experiences into her teaching. Probst maintains a dual role as an attorney, practicing in criminal, juvenile, family, and estate law across Pennsylvania and federal courts.
- Awards: Received the Outstanding Lecturer Award in 2005 for her educational contributions.
- Community Engagement: Serves on the University Hearing Board and chairs the Unauthorized Practice of Law committee at the Blair County Bar Association.
