Mary A. Favret is a Professor at Johns Hopkins University, affiliated with the Department of English and the Program for Women and Gender Studies. She co-directs the research seminar The Sensorium of Reading and has authored key works such as Romantic Correspondence and War at a Distance: Romanticism and the Making of Modern Wartime. Her academic contributions also include co-editing the Norton Critical Edition of Pride and Prejudice and At the Limits of Romanticism.
