Dr Tess Somervell
Lecturer in English at Worcester College, University of Oxford. Specializes in literature from the Restoration to Romantic periods with a focus on ecocriticism, georgic poetry, and temporal analysis in long poems. Affiliated with the Faculty of English Language & Literature.
Research interests include climate in literature, genre evolution, and interdisciplinary approaches to environmental humanities. Published major works such as Reading Time in the Long Poem (2023) and co-edited Georgic Literature and the Environment (2022).
