Professor Martyna Sliwa is Professor of Business Ethics and Organisation Studies and Associate Dean for Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability at Durham University Business School. With 20 years of experience at UK universities including Essex, Newcastle, and Northumbria, she held the Otto Mønsted Visiting Professorship at Copenhagen Business School (2021-2023). Her interdisciplinary research examines organisational diversity through lenses of linguistics, cultural studies, and philosophy.
Her work addresses language barriers in multinational corporations, gendered/racialized workplace dynamics, and ethical leadership. She serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Management Learning and Associate Editor for British Journal of Management and Human Resource Management Journal. As Vice Chair of the British Academy of Management for Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity, she promotes EDI initiatives in business education.
