Martin Sénéchal

Dr. Martin Sénéchal is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in pediatric obesity and exercise physiology. His research program examines how physical activity impacts cardiometabolic health in obese individuals through three pillars: predictors of exercise response, obesity phenotype analysis, and community program development.

His work focuses on understanding why exercise interventions vary in effectiveness across obese populations and developing strategies to increase physical activity in youth. Recent publications investigate muscle quality changes in diabetic patients and weight loss patterns in older adults.
