Martin Mitchell

Martin Mitchell serves as a part-time Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography at Canterbury Christ Church University within the School of Allied & Public Health Professions and the Department of Allied Health Professions and Dental Practice. His academic responsibilities include leading the postgraduate Clinical Reporting MRI pathway and a second-year undergraduate Preliminary Clinical Evaluation module, bridging theoretical education with practical clinical application.

Qualifying as a Diagnostic Radiographer from Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in 1992, he further developed his expertise through postgraduate clinical reporting studies at the same institution. His professional journey integrates academic instruction with frontline clinical practice as an MRI Clinical Reporting Radiographer at a busy NHS trust.

His research and teaching interests concentrate on advanced diagnostic imaging modalities, particularly MRI clinical reporting protocols, musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques, and preliminary evaluation frameworks. This specialization ensures his curriculum remains clinically relevant and technically current, directly informed by his dual roles in academia and healthcare delivery.
